17th Annual Chris Hoban Memorial Run

The 17th Annual Police Officer Chris Hoban Five-Mile Memorial Run will be held in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn on Sunday, September 18 at 10 a.m., rain or shine.

Hoban was a New York City police officer who was killed in the line of duty on October 18, 1988 during an undercover operation.

Participation in the event will help the sons of police officers obtain an education at Xaverian High School, Hoban’s alma mater.

The five-mile race will start and finish at Xaverian High School, 71 Street and Shore Road, Brooklyn. The course will wind along Bay Ridge streets and the promenade of New York harbor.

Advance registration is $15 dollars, and on the day of the run it is $20 dollars. “Pee wee” run registration is $5 dollars. There will be a post-race barbecue, rides, live music and raffle prizes.
