New Champions Named At 2005 Rock Tourney

Last week, the 5th annual Rock Tourney got under way and produced Rockaways top tennis players. Rockaway’s NYJTL/ RSA top 16 and under male player and champion is young Vince Tonolete. Pictured (L to R) Vince Tonolete, champion, David Penaranda, second place winner, Tristian Hoppie, third place winner and David Herd, instructor. In our girls division is Shuana-Kaye-Collins, Rockaways’ top female player. Runner-up and one of the NYJTL’s top academic participants is Kimberly Fontaine from Townsend Harris HS. Pictured (L to R): Shauna-Kaye-Collins, Tina Bosempenn, and Kimberly Fontaine. Great tournament, great players.
