Hotels Of The Past Tell Story Of Yesteryear

These two black and white photographs, one of them held together by yellowed tape, are in The Wave’s archive under “Hotels Past.” The photo (top) of the Embassy is stamped “Photo By A. Krebs.” We wonder where the Embassy stood and where photog Krebs had a studio. The bottom photo shows a boardwalk bench design of the past and a stunning structure that looks like it could host more than 100 vacationers for the weekend – or longer. The words “Hotel” and “Bar,” we think, appear over the entrances.
