A new sign – yellow paint on plywood – has popped up in Broad Channel with a plea to stop building near Jamaica Bay’s vanishing wetlands. It was unclear if the sign opposes a specific project and who placed the sign just off of Cross Bay Boulevard, but the tall marsh grasses that stood in the distance provided the perfect backdrop.
