for larger version       Flake Endorses Sanders Former Congressman Floyd H. Flake, the Pastor of Allen A.M.E. Church, is endorsing Councilman James Sanders Jr. in his re-election bid. “After examining what we need in a Councilmember: experience, knowledge, access to power, commitment, compassion….Sanders is the clear choice,” said Pastor Flake. Flake supports Sanders’ efforts in assuring affordable housing would be included in the Arverne-by-the-Sea project, and other accomplishments in the community. Sanders is grateful for the support of Pastor Flake, and anticipates adding other leading union and labor groups to his campaign endorsement list. Pastor Flake added, “Sanders is keeping the dream of homeownership, poverty elimination and wealth accumulation alive in the Council.”
