Velez Receives Award From RSA

The Rockaway Sports Association recently presented Wave Sports Editor Elio Velez an award for his “journalistic work and support to the Rockaway Sports Association (R.S.A) over the years.” In presenting the award, Coach Greg Carter said, “Velez’s coverage of local youth sports is truly immeasurable in the importance that Velez and The Wave have given to the student-athletes in our program over the years.”
