Kapoor Named BCHS Salutatorian

Amit Kapoor will graduate today as the salutatorian of Beach Channel High School. Kapoor has maintained a 97+ average throughout his four years at BCHS and received a 1200 on his SAT’s.

Kapoor has also joined many extracurricular activities. Among his interests were varsity tennis, crew, soccer, handball, bowling, math team, yearbook team, BCHS color guard, Student government, the school newspaper and volunteering at Peninsula Hospital Senior Day Care Center.

He also received $1500 on Awards Day from Beach Channel Principal Dr. Morris, a $500 bond from the Queens County Savings Bank, $50 from the school PTA and the chancellor’s recognition in leadership. Kapoor will attend the CUNY Honors Program at Brooklyn College in the fall on full scholarship.
