Top Scores For The Breezy Point Par Tee Golf Ladies
By Doris Neimeth

June 16th at Riis Park was a cool, foggy, damp, downcast day as twenty-six hardy women hit the links but not the new light poles. But some came close! Our luncheons will start on June 23 at the Catholic Club, 11:30 am and will continue each week thru the end of the season in Sept. On the menu will be Roast Beef, Turkey and Ham Sandwiches by our own Rockaway/Breezy Store.

Sign-ups for the goodies will be on Tuesday morning at Riis Park, please attend to meet new Par Tee Members and enjoy the company of each other.  Our leader this year, Eileen Watson and her staff, will be on hand to answer questions anyone may have and to update the plays of the week, such as closest to the pin, least putts, etc.

Top scores of the day were: Joan McNally-67 with a chip-in birdie on #10, Doris Neimeth-68, Barbara Caramelli-69 with a fabulous chip-in birdie on #14, Marge Driscoll had two chip-ins, one on # 15 & 16, Mildred Duffy a chip-in on # 4, Pat Jordan with two chip-ins on # 2 & 5. Birdies are credited to Marilyn Higgins on #1, Lois Murphy on #5 and Lil Hanratty on # 1.

Other scores below 80: Pat Disch-69, Lois Murphy-70, Mildred Seligman-71, Janis Murphy & Joan Fallon-72, Kay Miller-74, Bernice Carroll-76, Dotty Dunne and Ruth Gallagar-77, Lil Hanratty-79.

We will see you next week with hopefully warmer weather and no fog and more ladies attending.

A reminder goes to the golfers to attend the luncheons after play at the Catholic Club. Welcome Back Our Snow Birds.
