for larger version       Rockaway 7’s Tournament The Rockaway Fisheads will host their annual Rugby 7’s tournament this Saturday, June 18, at Ft. Tilden. Inda Culture will perform at the Rugby Clubhouse (113-RBB) for the post tourny celebrations. The action gets underway at approximately 9:00 a.m. and games will be played into the early evening. A long time rite of summer on the Rockaway Peninsula, the Rockaway 7’s is an action packed day of speed thrills and excitement that is not to be missed. The very best teams on the east coast of the U.S., plus many from the nation and other the world will compete for one of the most coveted titles in U.S. Rugby. The hometown Fisheads captured last year’s championship and will look to defend it this year against stiff competition. Over 70 teams are expected in several different divisions, including Ladies, Open, Premiere, College and Social. A free rugby clinic will be conducted for all children. Come and see all the hard hitting action and cheer on the Fisheads as well as the FDNY Sevens team. It’s fantastic fun for the whole family and it’s free!!!
