Rock ‘N Roll Still The Staple At Westbury Music Fair They say “Rock ‘n’ Roll will never die,” and at the North Fork Theatre at Westbury that’s as true today as it was yesterday. All summer long, Westbury will present a series of classic rock and oldies concerts showcasing the best of the rock era with performances by artists such as Steve Winwood (6/21), Lynyrd Skynyrd (6/26) Creedence Clearwater Revisited with Special Guest Mark Farner formerly of Grand Funk Railroad (7/1) and much more. Among the summer’s highlights will be concert appearances by The Lettermen and The Association (7/8), The Roots of Rock featuring The Legendary Lead Singers Super Group (7/9), The Doobie Brothers (7/20), Dion and Lou Christie (7/28), Davy Jones with Chuck Negron, Gary Puckett and The Ides of March (7/30) and Rock Never Stops with Cinderella, Ratt, Quiet Riot, and Firehouse (7/31). There’s more from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s in August with shows by Neil Sedaka (8/4), Tommy James and the Shondells with The Turtles, The Grass Roots, and The Buckinghams (8/5), George Thorogood and the Destroyers (8/6), Huey Lewis & The News (8/9),The Beach Boys (8/12 & 13), 38 Special and Dickey Betts (8/16), America and Air Supply and a Tribute to Elvis featuring The Sweet Inspirations, DJ Fontana, and world class impersonators Shawn Klush and Ryan Pelton(8/19). “There’s something for everyone’s taste in music at the North Fork Theatre at Westbury and concerts are enjoyed in air conditioned comfort at this unique, intimate theatre-in-the-round,” says a spokesperson.
