Rockaway Residents In Celtic Winter Festival

Rockaway residents participated in a Celtic Winter Festival in Chelsea on Saturday, December 10, showcasing their talents in dance and art. Pictured from left to right are Sophia Skeans, Amanda Vorhies and Ann Hourigan before the beginning of the event. Vorhies, a 17-year-old senior at Christ the King who attends Tri Na Gael Irish Dance School, step-danced to the music of singer/songwriter Celeste Ray; while Hourigan and Skeans led a busy ornament design workshop. Hourigan produced intricate Celtic knotwork that became original holiday ornaments; Skeans created unique expressionistic ornaments inspired by Celtic sculptures.
