Children For Children: Start A Tradition Of Giving

Children for Children, a non-profit organization, encourages families to cut back on expenses this holiday season and donate the savings to help children in need. Founded in 1996, Children for Children fosters in young people a greater sense of community involvement and social responsibility through volunteerism and giving, and supports New York City schools in under-resourced communities.

The year-round Celebrations Program introduces the tradition of giving to a child as they celebrate milestone events, such as a birthday, bar/bat mitzvah, confirmation or graduation. The holiday season is an ideal time to start a tradition of giving to others.

Children for Children suggests donating holiday gifts to help children in need. Children who contribute receive a Certificate of Appreciation, while the adult creates an opportunity to demonstrate and instill in them the spirit of giving.
