Coaches Bill Blakley, Vick Gomez and Ed Lopez give final instructions to the Ravens before the championship game. The Ravens Pee Wee’s has done it again. For the third year in a row, the Ravens Pee Wee’s are New York Champions. The Ravens Pee Wee’s worked very hard and diligently to accomplish their goals. The Ravens had an undefeated season and took it all the way. The Championship game was held in Staten Island at Farrell HS. The championship game was between the Brooklyn Chiefs and the Rockaway Ravens. The Ravens prevailed in a tight game against the chiefs with a score of 24-20.

The Rockaway Ravens Pee Wee’s are led by a wonderful coaching staff who gives the children of this community their time and knowledge each practice and at every game. We would like to thank head coach William Blakely, and assistant coaches Victor Gomes and Ed Lopez for a job well done. It was through your knowledge and guidance that the children were able to carry out their job assignments and get the job done.

The Rockaway Ravens are on their way to Arizona to compete for the National Championship title. Way to Go Ravens!!! They will be competing among the best each state has to offer in the American Youth Football Conference.

We are also asking for donations to help these kids get to Arizona for competition. The cost of this trip is approximately $14,000 dollars. Anything that you can give to help the children continue their success would be greatly appreciated and definitely put to good use. This can be a great experience for these children as well as exposure for the children of the Rockaway area.

If you want to help the Ravens call Dexter or Verdina Archbold@ 718-318-3646.

Rockaway Ravens Mighty Might’s Win 2005 Freedom Bowl

The mighty might’s led by Tyrone Johnson, Earl Binger and Jerome Bostic had a late start in the season. The mighty might’s started out loosing their first four games. They came out like fire was lit under them after that. The mighty might’s went on strong winning the next five games big time. They had all shutouts for every team they faced. They went on to dominate the mighty might division capturing the freedom bowl Championship.

Lot’s of love goes out to the hardworking coaches of the mighty might’s. The Freedom bowl truly showed what great team spirit and hard work that was put into these kids.

These kids knew that they were champions from the start. Shout outs goes to Guy Barfield for his three amazing touchdowns of the game. This kid is unbelievable!!! Guy Barfield ran the ball for 170 yards. Way to Go!!  We are expecting bigger and better things from the foundation of our organization. Congratulations!!!
