Parents are greeted in the cafeteria.Parents are greeted in the cafeteria. “As sure as the leaves turn colors by mid November, The Belle Harbor School - P.S. / M.S. 114Q takes pride in celebrating the formality, and concomitant spirit, of The New York City Department of Education’s Open School Week:  Fall 2005,” says technology teacher Ron Gershon. Pictures include the annual Grade 4 salute to Native Americans:  Culture and Habitat; The school’s Parent Teacher Association’s annual sponsorship of our Fall Scholastic Book Fair, and, as usual, the pride of The Belle Harbor School: The daily Opening Exercises, including the majestic unfurling of Old Glory; a poignant recitation of our nation’s Pledge of Allegiance and the enthusiastic singing of “God Bless America.” Principal, I.A., Stephen P. Grill, along with Assistant Principal Janet M. Donohue, applaud all parents and guardians for warmly embracing their partnership in their children’s education.
