New Adult Day Care Center Opens In Far Rockaway
By Miriam Rosenberg
The program prides itself in giving adults options to make their lives better. Among the services offered are on site social workers and rehab staff, home care health care and day care programs.
Naomi Rodriquez, whose husband of 42 years has been in the Jamaica program since May, had nothing but praise for the organization.
Saying that her husband, Freddy, was always upset and sat watching television all day, she said he is now a changed man.
“I noticed the change in his attitude immediately,” said Rodriquez. “ “The changes are so many it would take all day to explain it all.”
Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer welcomed Beth Abraham to the community.
“Thank you for coming to Rockaway,” said Pheffer. “It only benefits us.”
The new program is located at 18-21 Cornaga Avenue in Far Rockaway.
