Local Donates Art For Hurricane Relief


Casey Brouder, a Breezy Point resident, recently donated her talents to raise money for the victims of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma. Her art piece, entitled “Jellyman,” was featured in an all-student show arranged by the Fashion Institute of Technology, and held at a private gallery in Manhattan. Pictured are local Rockaway residents Caitlin Murtagh, Kerry King, Nancy Egan, Jeanne Murtagh, Katie Honan, Casey Brouder and Anne Brouder, mother of the artist, attending the event. Brouder is in her third year at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts. She is a 2003 graduate of Stella Maris High School.
