Belle Harbor Welcomes New Rabbi

Congregation Ohab Zedek, located at 134-01 Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Belle Harbor, has announced the appointment of Rabbi Boaz Tomsky as its new rabbinical leader. Rabbi Tomsky will assume this position officially at the beginning of November.

Rabbi Tomsky received his rabbinical ordination from the Talmudic University of Florida and was a student at Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore, Maryland. The Rabbi earned an MBA from Barry University in Florida and is currently completing his doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Hartford.

Rabbi Tomsky formerly held rabbinical positions in Bangor, Maine and Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He is a member of the Rabbinical Council of America. Congregation Ohab Zedek will host a kiddush at the close of Sabbath services on November 5 to welcome the Rabbi and his family.
