Thursday, found the Bonnies traveling to Bishop Kearney and, facing a partisan crowd, excited by a pep rally. The JV again put together a strong team effort with all seven starters contributing to a 2-0 (25-23, 25-17) win. As the Varsity took the court hopes ran high that the winning ways could continue. However, it was not to be as the Bonnies were unable to hit their stride against Kearney. The final score was 3-0 (25-9, 25-16, 25-23) in favor of Bishop Kearney.

The week concluded on Friday with the first meeting with Bishop Ford. The JV won 2-0 (25-11, 25-9). Led by the threesome of Jane Taikina, Kelly Johnston, and Liz Rogers and with some stellar plays by libero Pam Mendoza the Bonnies set the pace. Smart net play by setter Maggie Sheehan and fellow freshman April Shaughnessy allowed the Bonnies to control the net. The Varsity followed with a grueling win 3-0 (27-25, 25-16, 27-25) over an improving Ford team.

With only eight players in uniform, and missing three regulars the Bonnie Varsity was hard pressed by a determined opponent.

Entering the last week of the regular season the Bonnie JV is 7-0 and in first place in Brooklyn, while the Varsity is at 7-2 and sits firmly in second place in the Brooklyn division.
