RAA’s ‘Minotaur’s Maze’ Set For Halloween Show

There’s more to the chill mist in the air and the creeping shadows of night than just the coming of Autumn as Halloween descends like a ghost upon Fort Tilden for The MINOTAUR’S MAZE, the Rockaway Artists Alliance’s howling, haunting Halloween weekend long event where frightening imaginations will run wild and artistically unearthly things will go bump in the night. Carrying on an honored tradition in a new way, MINOTAUR’S MAZE spirits adults and children alike into a winding and mysterious world created within the newly renovated T-7 gallery building. Actors, guides and ‘helpers’ will be keeping the scary fun and mayhem shrieking along, as within its shivering walls guests will interact at each twist and turn where a coven of mad artists has incorporated a host of techniques including painting, sculpture, visual effects, lighting, music and theatre to bring the October thrills and chills to life. Says RAA member Apryl Green, “We want to make this the scariest show ever!”

Spanning all Halloween weekend from Friday October 28 to Monday October 31st, and running from 5-8pm, admission to MINOTAUR’S MAZE is free to all and is part of other spirited and safe community festivities, such as specially spooky stage productions by the Rockaway Theatre Company, to be held on Fort Tilden’s grounds.

The Rockaway Artists Alliance invites to all to come and have a frightfully close encounter with the arts.
