Bayswater ‘Star of David’ Graffiti Under Investigation

Joan and Raymond Dixon of Bay 25 Street in Bayswater found a Star of David and other graffiti on their fence on October 1. Deputy Inspector Walter Salowski, the commanding officer of the 101 Precinct told The Wave “We don’t have much to go on. It is similar to Guzzo.” A Jewish Star with the letters J and P was found on the fence of Joseph Guzzo on Beach 4 Street on September 23. Salowski said the Graffiti Squad of the NYPD is investigating the incident. The Dixon’s, who are long-time residents and are not Jewish, have no idea why they were targeted and what it all means. More graffiti was on third panel, but the Dixon’s said a neighbor was so offended by what was there that he removed it himself. A side view shows additional graffiti that was left on the fence.
