Despite Confusion, ‘Mini-Bricks’ Available At Chamber

There was some confusion over the “Chamber Chat” column that appeared in last week’s Wave, according to Joanie Omeste, the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce and the author of the column.

Omeste says that many people called complaining that they had purchased bricks to be placed in Tribute Park and that their names were not on the published list. Omeste made it clear that everybody who bought bricks will find those bricks in the park when it opens.

Her column last week was strictly for those who ordered the mini-bricks that are smaller representations of the larger bricks.

Omeste wrote: “To all the people who purchased bricks for Tribute Park. Please be assured your bricks are ready to be installed in Tribute Park. The list published in my column of Friday, October 14 reflects only those names of people who did not pick up their souvenir mini bricks from the Chamber Office. Mini bricks are the size of a small paperweight that can be put on a desk or shelf and are copies of the standard sized brick.

I apologize for any confusion.

Again, if you were kind enough to purchase a brick it will be installed in Tribute Park. If your purchase included a mini brick along with the standard brick, please check the October 14 list to see if your brick is listed, if it is, you can pick it up from the Chamber office. Thank you.”
