Registration Deadline For ACT Test
The next national test date for college-bound high school students taking the ACT college admission exam is December 10.
The deadline for postmark or online registration is November 4. Late registration is November 17, with an addition $18 fee.
Students can get registration materials from their high school counselor or can register online on ACTs student website, www.actstudent. org. Students can also find test locations closest to them on that website.
The ACT is an achievement test that measures what students have learned in school. The basic ACT exam includes four parts: English, reading, math and science. Some students perform better on the ACT than on other college entrance exams because it is based on achievement, not aptitude. The basic exam takes three hours to complete, plus an additional 30 minutes for those who opt to take the writing test.
The basic registration fee for the ACT is $29, and an additional $14 for students that take the ACT writing test. Free sample tests are available from school counselors and the ACT website.
