B.C.A.C. Midget Shamrocks Have Big Win

The Shamrock Midgets had their third win this season against the hard-hitting North Babylon Blue. Anthony La Porta, #95, threw an unbelievable 20-yard touchdown pass to #7 Anthony Galimi. Joe Jaunis, #17, ran in the extra point, tying up the game at halftime. The tough blocking of the offense line kept the Shamrocks in the game thanks to Corey Diaz, James Carricato, Michael Abrams, Phil Jaunis, Austin Ramos Paul Rayder and Marco Gallagher. The outstanding running and blocking of #23 Brandon Berrios helped gain yardage in the second half, and led to two more TD’s made by Galimi and La Porta.

The defense, also led by La Porta and Galimi, crushed Babylon’s offense with the contributing forces of Berrios, Diaz, Rayder, the Jaunis brothers, Joe Giordano, William Kaszmierczuk, Christopher Moussa, Frankie Yodice, Kevin Coughlin, Carmine Criscione, Joseph Mure, Joseph Ognibene, Justin Walken and Robert O’Shaughnessey. Inside linebacker Michael Guidici was out with an injured ankle, but came to cheer on his team. Brandon Berrios caught an interception in the last quarter to end the game 21 to 13.

The excellent playing of these fine boys has made their coaches extremely proud. They would like to thank all the parents for their support and attendance at the games.

Next game is Sunday, October 9 at 3 p.m. in Levittown.
