Monumental Progress At Tribute Park

The granite slab, which is etched with names of 347 firefighters who lost their lives on 9-11, was affixed last Sunday to the Firefighters memorial rock in Tribute Park (more photos on Page 6). Patrick Clark, the man responsible for the park’s three artworks, says some additional chiseling on the firefighters helmet on top of the rock is all that is needed before the piece is complete. With the mosaic finished and only the dome awaiting completion, park planners are eyeing an official unveiling in about 30 days. The Wave will have complete details as soon as there is an announcement. The granite slab, which is etched with names of 347 firefighters who lost their lives on 9-11, was affixed last Sunday to the Firefighters memorial rock in Tribute Park (more photos on Page 6). I have not heard any reports about the bricks that were sold when the idea of the park first came about. Having purchased 2 bricks, I am anxious to hear something about their installation. Do you have any info?
