Bloods Busted With Coke, Pot, Kid
Four people, including two known members of the notorious Bloods street gang, were arrested recently when police served a search warrant at an apartment in the Hammel Houses, police said.
Oneadr Holland and Jerod, Shauntay and Stanley Gates were arrested September 2 inside the Gates’ residence at 84-14 Rockaway Beach Boulevard, apartment 5A. Police obtained a search warrant because they suspected Shauntay, who according to court records is on the New York City Housing Authority’s permanent exclusion list, was inside the apartment with her 9-year-old son, for whom she no longer has custody.
Officers entered the apartment just before 7 a.m. and found Stanely Gates, 47, and Oneadr Holland, 39, of 121-19 Newport Avenue, inside a bedroom with a plate covered with cocaine residue, a razorblade and a crack pipe containing cocaine, according to court records. Police also recovered a small envelope of cocaine.
Shauntay Gates, 27 – who police say is a Bloods gang member – was inside another bedroom with her son, 9, whose name The Wave is withholding due to his age. Shauntay “has no legal right of custody pursuant to an order of adoption,” court records said. Police also found two small envelopes of marijuana in her purse.
Also arrested was Jerod Gates, 29 – another Bloods gang member, according to police. He pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and was sentenced to 15 days in jail.
Stanley Gates is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and he faces up to one year in jail or a $1,000 fine, according to a sptorney Richard A. Brown.
Shauntay Gates is charged with criminal trespass, custodial interference and unlawful possession of marijuana. She faces up to one year in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
