Addabbo Unveils Magnificent New Office

City Councilman Joseph Addabbo Jr. last Friday unveiled his dazzling new office, located at 98-16 Rockaway Beach Boulevard, to about 25 guests. The councilman, who is cruising unopposed to a third term, will now have his own office and a private conference room behind a spacious front office that has four workstations. “What we’ve gained is what we needed: space,” Addabbo told The Wave. But the new surroundings are not just roomier, they are decorated with large reproductions of Rockaway postcards, photos and artwork by local artists, surfboards and boogieboards – even original Playland tickets that Addabbo found on eBay. The centerpiece is a pane of glass between the conference room and the front office, which is etched with the councilman’s name, district number and the City Seal (see photo). It was a gift from Addabbo’s new landlord, John Innes.
