RAA Hosts Annual Picnic At RoCa

There was plenty of fun, food and fine entertainment at the Rockaway Artists Alliance’s 2nd Annual Picnic held at the Rockaway Center for the Arts (RoCA) at Fort Tilden on Sunday, August 14. Members brought along a wide sampling of culinary arts, the homemade variety, which not only pleased the eye, but also brought a taste of adventure to the palate. Throughout the afternoon an ever-changing array of talented musicians played a dizzying collage of rock, R&B, Soul, oldies and more and cheerfully backed a surprising collection of spontaneous guest performers. Pictured, singer Apryl Green joins the band and hits the high notes for an impromptu version of “Maybe.”

Guests of all ages enjoy the food and the music.Guests of all ages enjoy the food and the music.
