An Evening Of Traditional Indian Culture

The Five Towns Indian Association will showcase an evening of Indian dance, culture and food on Tuesday, August 30 at Cedarhurst Park, 200 Cedarhurst Avenue in Cedarhurst, starting at 7 p.m.

The Five Towns Indian Association is more than 20 years old, and is home to about 100 families of Indian origin. The Association holds several activities throughout the year inviting the local community to join and spread the message of Indian heritage. This year’s “Concert Under the Gazebo” will feature traditional “bhangra” dances, “mehndi” (henna) hand painting and Indian food samplers.
