Three Teams Win Titles At St. Francis Classic

Three more champions have put on the Long Sleeve Tees. After numerous reschedules due to rain and other circumstances, Cross County Savings Bank won the Boys High School division in a hard fought battle over R Tyne Painting. Denis S. O’Connor pulled away from G&G Exterior Maintenance to grab the Boys Grammar Senior title and Brown’s Hardware completed their surprising playoff run to take the crown in the Boys Grammar Middle.

In the Men’s Open division, Rock Park All-Stars will square of with the No-Names in the championship. Details will follow next week.

Animal Hospital of Bay Ridge continues to lead the Girls High School division followed in order by 4 POINT 0, Mr. Marshall’s Kids and the hard luck BHYC.

Caitlin Wheeler, Dawn Garcia, Lorrin Clarke, Cori Gorman and Desiree McDonough have paced Coach Dan Edwards’ Animal Hospital squad. Kristi Moore, Michelle Kenel, Kaitlin Irwin and the Featherston sisters are the stars for 4 POINT 0, coached by Joe Kenel.

Jill Brady, Mary Bruns, Megan Davidson and the Marshall sisters have been the bright lights for the Kids, guided by Bobby and Laura Bruns. An abundance of talent for BHYC, led by Diana Canzoneri, Katie Pastina, Anna Buzzetta, Corrine Howley, Norah Marley, and Kerry King will hopefully mesh under the direction now of Clare Droesch and Janelle McManus. Games are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday next week with the championship on Monday August 29 at 7:30.
