BBC Seeks Out Rocky Relationships
BBC U.S. Production is looking for New York couples on the brink of separation that are willing to give their rocky marriage one last chance by participating in a 7-day intensive program, that will be aired on TV, with divorce-busting therapist Michele Weiner-Davis.
“Therapist Michele Weiner-Davis is world famous and has an amazing track record of helping couples stay together. This is an option which otherwise would be unaffordable and inaccessible to most people,” said BBC Productions spokesperson Esther Stone.
Michele Weiner-Davis is an internationally renowned marriage therapist who maintains a private practice in Illinois called The Divorce Busting Center, has authored several books and has been a guest on talks shows such as Oprah and The Today Show.
According to the National Vital Statistics Report, the United States has the highest divorce rate in the world, recording over 1 million divorces each year. New York State has the third highest number.
The 13 part series will be featured on a major US cable network, and both partners should be willing to commit to 7 days between the beginning of September and end of November.
Couples interested in taking part in the show should call (917) 957-7849, or www.bbcnyc.com/week.asp to fill out an application form.
