Sorrentino Recreation Center Little League Baseball

The Sorrentino Recreation Center/ HealthPlus/ City of New York Parks & Recreation/ Police Athletic League baseball season representing the borough of Queens is off to a terrific start with two divisions:

9 – 12 years old Bantam Division consisting of 4 teams, 15 members, 1 coach and 1 assistant coach per team. All games for the season and borough play-offs are played Thursday s starting at 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays, starting at 9:30 a.m. at 17th Street O’Donahue Park. The 13-15 year old junior division consists of 8 (eight) teams, 6 teams out of Brooklyn and 2 (two) teams from Sorrentino representing the borough of Queens. All games are played at Red Hook Park in Brooklyn.

The team names and standings are as follows in Team-Wins-Losses. For the Bantam Division: G-Way 5- 1, All-Stars 3-2, Dodgers 3-2 and Wolf Pack 0-6.

The team names for the junior division are as follows (no standings available): HealthPlus, Sorrentino, Sunset Park, Brownsville Rec Center, Far Rockaway G-Way, Von King, Met Pool and Red Hook. All teams are allowed 15 team members, 1 coach and 1 assistant coach. The 2005 baseball season will end on August 13, 2005.
