‘Free Lunch’ Winner Visits Rotary


The Rotary Club of the Rockaway’s “Free Lunch Scholarship” winner, Lacey Charley Williams (center left) was a guest of the club at their regular Wednesday luncheon meeting on June 22.  Each year, the club awards a $1000 scholarship to a Beach Channel High School graduating senior who best exemplifies the Rotary principles of charity, school and community service, and humanitarian service towards building goodwill and peace in the world. Accompanying Williams was the schools coordinator of student affairs, Sheila Murray (center right).  Flanking the guests are scholarship founder Patrick Russell (left) administrator of Park Nursing Home and club president John Hennessey of Northfork Bank.
