Police Seek Man Who Held Up Rockaway Beach McDonalds

He robbed the Golden Arches, now the cops need your help to put him behind bars. Police are looking for a man who held up the McDonald’s in Rockaway Beach last Sunday morning and got away with hundreds of dollars in cash.

Witnesses said the man entered the fast food restaurant at 91-18 Beach Channel Drive at about 10:45 a.m. and demanded all of the cash in the registers, according to police.

The thief made it seem like he had a gun in his pocket and threatened to use it if workers failed to cooperate.

The shift manager handed over about $420 to the man, who then ran south on Beach 91 Street.

Officers canvassed the area but could not find the man, who is described as black, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 120 pounds. He was wearing a brown leather jacket, brown baseball cap, black pants and work boots. Police asked anyone with information to call the 100 Precinct at (718) 318-4200.
