Breezy Point PAR TEE GOLF News

Never feel bad about your golf game. Just remember what Hank Aaron said, “It took me seventeen years to get three thousand hits in baseball. I did it in one afternoon on the golf course.”

Thursday, June 2nd, was a cold, blustery day. However, 28 gals braved the elements and completed their round. The lowest score goes to Peg Ansbro with a 64, followed by Barbara Caramelli with a 67, and tied with 69 were Betty Weed and Pat Disch. Marge O’Leary had 71, Kay Miller, Alice Mateos, and Joan McNally had 72, Betty Monahan and Marilyn Higgins had 73, Marilyn Danese, Vera Lynch,and Evelyn Gannon had 74, Dottie Dunne, Bernice Carroll, and Mary Bosch had 75, Ruth Gulligan had 76, Mildred Seligman had 77, Evie McVeigh had 78 and Pat Livingston had 79.

Marilyn Danese had two chip-ins, on holes 4 and 7. Kay Miller had hers on #12, Marilyn Higgins on #14, Joan McNally on #15 and Pat Disch had a chip-in bird on #10

Birdies were scored by Kay Miller on #9, Mary Bosch on #17, Peggy Wheeler ,Barbara Caramelli, Marilyn Higgins and Ruth Gulligan all had birdies on #5, Peg Ansbro on #10 and CONGRATULATIONS to Alice Mateos who had a birdie on #11 (way to go, Alice) !!!!!

And a tip from Ben Hogan: It is utterly impossible for any golfer to play good golf without a swing that will repeat!!!!
