New Members Inducted Into Knights Of Columbus
The Msgr. William F. Burke Rockaway Council #2672 Knights of Columbus celebrated another milestone on May 3, 2005 as twenty-one men joined the ranks, making their first degree, right of initiation of The Order.
Immediately following the First Degree, the twenty-one were joined by four additional members, who had made their first degree months earlier, and the twenty-five men made their Second degree (the second step toward full knighthood).
The Knights of Columbus was founded by Father Michael J. McGiveny at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven Connecticut in 1882. Today, there are nearly 1.7 million members in some 13,500 local councils in the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guam, Guatemala, the Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas and Saipan.
The gentlemen that made their Second Degree are” Pat Schiano, Jason Walsh, Pat Kogut, Paul LaVigna, Steve Palermo, John Biscaino, Kevin Coursey, Charlie Lynch, Bill Daly, Jim Kalisak, Dennis Cook, Bill Hoffman, Pat Donlin, Bill Murphy, Ted Capeci, Paul Relyea, Mike Nied, Pat Mills, Mike Dziak, Mike Caiazzo, Anthony Scotto, Liam Blainey, Joe Campisi, Frank Pedulla and Joe Palmese from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Council #12675 in Ozone Park, N.Y.
