Local Schools Win Environmental Awards

P.S. 233 at Beach Channel High School has won the citywide Trashmasters Reduce and Reuse Challenge. The school won the award for its innovative “Project PIGG: Phones, Ink, Gloves and Glasses,” through which students hosted a drive to collect and donate these items.

P.S. 47 in Broad Channel also won the Reduce and Reuse Challenge in the intermediate school Queens division.
