Sorrentino Center Finishes B-Ball/Starts Baseball Season

The Sorrentino Recreation Center Unlimited Basketball Tournament Championship game on Thursday, May 26 was between the All Stars and 7 O.G.’s. With over 150 players, coaches and spectators in attendance, the All Stars defeated the 7 O.G.’s 63-51 in a thriller. Family, friends and Sorrentino members enjoyed the game with a show of good sportsmanship between both teams. The Sorrentino Center would like to thank the teams for displaying sportsmanship and good will throughout the whole tournament.

The Sorrentino Step Into Spring Program Participants.The Sorrentino Step Into Spring Program Participants. The Sorrentino Recreation Center baseball season begins June 25, 2005 at O’Donahue Park at Beach 17th Street. The 9 – 12 years old bantam division will consist of four (4) teams which includes 60 players and 8 coaches.

Practices began in April and will continue through to the start of the baseball season June 25, 2005 at O’Donahue Park, Beach 17 th street from 10am – 1pm. May 28th recorded over 60 players and coaches in attendance at O’Donahue Park for the Sorrentino Recreation Center baseball clinic.

The last week of the Sorrentino Step Into Spring Family Walk Program concludes this Saturday, June 4 starting at 10 a.m. For more information, call 718-471-4818 or visit the Sorrentino Recreation Center at 18-48 Cornaga Avenue in Far Rockaway.
