RAA One-Woman Show Set For Fort Tilden June 4

Touching on the worlds of aviation, academics, family, politics, finance, medicine and space, Ms. Del Vecchio Maltese’s large as life paintings reveal these remarkable women, past and present, and vibrantly bring their stories alive in the viewers eyes.

AMERICAN WOMEN will be welcomed with an opening reception on Sunday June 5 from 1 to 3 p.m.. The artist herself will be on hand, live entertainment will be presented and refreshments will be served. Admission is free to all.

AMERICAN WOMEN by Constance Del Vecchio Maltese is presented in partnership with The National Park Service/Gateway National Recreation Area and will take place in the Rockaway Center for the Arts (RoCA) more intimate sTudio 6 gallery, located in Fort Tilden. Fort Tilden, an historic former U.S. Army post, is now home to many cultural and community activities in the Rockaways and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and Jamaica Bay. It is part of Gateway National Recreation Area, a uniquely picturesque urban national park which spans several boroughs and incorporates beaches, marshlands and bird and wildlife sanctuaries.
