Sullivan Wins Teacher Of The Year Award
Former Rockaway resident Daniel Sullivan has been named “Teacher of the Year” by Wal-Mart in Norwalk, Connecticut. The Guidance Department Chairman and counselor at Norwalk High School won the award after a student submitted a letter to the competition. As part of his prize, Sullivan received a plaque, $50 gift certificate to Wal-Mart and a $1,000 check for the school.
As one of the 3,800 teachers recognized by Wal-Mart nationwide, Sullivan will now compete at the state level for Connecticut Teacher of the Year.
He is the son of Rosemary Sullivan of Rockaway Park.
