Local Artist Honors Feynman With Stamp Cachet

Local artist and author Stephen Yaeger, who writes the “Drawing on Science” column monthly in The Wave wanted to honor Richard Feynman, the Far Rockaway High School graduate who won the Nobel Prize and worked on the atomic bomb project during World War II Feynman was recently honored with a stamp and with a street renaming nearby his former Far Rockaway home. For that event, Yaeger drew a cachet to go with the stamp. The stamp cancellation bears the date of Feynman’s birth as well as the place where he was born and grew up.
