Pictures Make Point That Towing Is Legal
Last week’s Wave ran a photo story pointing to the No Parking signs in the Dayton Plaza parking lot. The Wave made the point that the signs posted at the front of the lot were not sufficient to support the towing of vehicles Parked more than two hours in the lot. Joanne Eisen, who lives in Breezy Point went to the parking lot and found signs in other areas of the lot that did meet the legal requirement for towing. Confusing? Probably. “Your article interested me, so I took a ride to see for myself,” Eisen wrote. She also supplied this photograph showing one of the legal signs. “Now, Mr. Editor, what was your point,” she asks. The point is, informants tell us that business is way down in some of the stores in the plaza because of the towing program.
