BCHS Hosts Spring Concert May 14

Beach Channel High School’s Music Department will be holding it’s annual Spring Concert on Saturday, May 14 at 7 p.m. The event will be held in the school auditorium at 100-00 Beach Channel Drive. The price of admission is $6.

For a long time, the BCHS Marching Band has been making themselves available for many community organizations and events. You may remember them leading the Rockaway Memorial Day parades as well as their appearances in the Saint Patrick’s Day parades for numerous years. They have also provided entertainment in various fundraisers including the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life as well as Fundraisers to save Saint Virgilius School in local Wendy‘s in Rockaway Park.

“This wonderful youth group needs your support.” A spokesperson says. “The money collected on the night of the concert will be used to repair damaged instruments as well as to purchase new instruments for the future incoming band members.”

Appearing at the show that night will be the BCHS Marching Band, Concert Band, BCHS Chorus, and the all-time favorite Jazz Ensemble.

Those who cannot attend the Spring Concert, but would like to assist the school in funding its ongoing music department programs should contact the school at 100-01 Beach Channel Drive in Rockaway Beach.
