Chatting With Chapey

Abbracciamento and Mure Invite You to Lunch
by Dr. Geraldine M. Chapey, Democratic District Leader

Dr. Geraldine ChapeyDr. Geraldine Chapey On Friday, May 20, Trinity Services will hold its third annual luncheon at Russo’s on the Bay at 162-45 Cross Bay Boulevard in Howard Beach. The event will run from 12 Noon to 5 p.m. Tickets at $50.00 each. Call Stella at (718) 474-1641 to make your reservations.

Frances Abbracciamento and Joseph Mure, the outstanding co-chairs of this year’s event, invite you to join us at Russo’s. Frances Abbracciamento and Joseph Mure are the dynamic duo who chaired our luncheon last year and have come back by popular demand to co-chair this year’s luncheon

Frances and Joe have requested that the chef prepare an additional surprise entrée this year, which will be added to the usual choice of eight delicious and elegantly presented entrees. I promise that they will be appetizing, mouth watering, tempting and cooked to perfection. The chefs at Russo’s are carefully selected. They must have excellent credentials, extensive experience and a flair for preparing intriguing, inspirational and creative dishes. They are respected culinary stars who have a seriousness of purpose and a unique passion for their work. They get very high marks for presenting savory and succulent delights.

We are truly fortunate that Abbracciamento and Mure are devoting their time and talents to making the luncheon a memorable event.

Frances Abbracciamento is a multi-talented, entrepreneur, who brings to the luncheon her strong interpersonal skills and business acumen. Her warm, gracious, cheerful and outgoing personality endear her to everyone. Her many years at the helm of one of the most successful restaurants in New York State allowed her to develop and strengthen her innate talents. Frances attracted people from far and wide to her restaurant because she combined exquisite gourmet meals with beautiful surroundings and gracious hospitality. Frances is truly a pioneer who is a role model, trendsetter and fashion plate. Frances brings these talents to our luncheon.

Joseph Mure, an outstanding and capable attorney, is the other co-chair of the Trinity Services luncheon. Joe is charming, effervescent, vibrant and extremely intelligent. His legal expertise is recognized by his peers in the legal community. He has a strong record of accomplishment. Joe spear-heads the efforts to find a cure for Juvenile Diabetes and serves as the chair of the Brooklyn and Queens Chapter of the New York State Diabetes Association. Joe combines the best of both worlds – in his legal profession he is an astute, capable, focused and knowledgeable attorney and in his community work he utilizes those talents to benefit others. I would like to congratulate him on his successful dinner at Russo’s to raise funds for Juvenile Diabetes. The overflow crowd showed the high regard in which Joe is held. He has tireless and boundless energy, which he uses on behalf of juvenile diabetes, and to help children, families and seniors in our community. Joe brings his invigorating, inspirational and creative talents to help us to raise funds for the Trinity Services programs.

Trinity Services has a very dedicated and hard working committee. Each person brings a passion to help others. They have collected an outstanding array of prizes. One is lovelier than the other. Each prize is something that you will want to win as soon as you see it. In addition, we have a category of prizes which will include dinners in your favorite restaurants. Who can resist a great meal?

Twin Win tickets are available again this year for $10 each. The prizes include a $2,000 grand prize (to be split between the winner and the seller of the winning ticket); 5 prizes of $100 each and a bonus prize of a 7 day all-inclusive vacation to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic with air fare and accommodations included. Last year we were very happy that Helene Mandel won the trip to Punta Cana. She came back with rave reviews. She found that the accommodations were fabulous. The resort included all kinds of spectacular activities to meet and exceed everyone’s expectations. The food was stupendous. Helene reported that it truly was an all-inclusive vacation. It was a phenomenal event. Tickets for the Twin Win raffle can be purchased at our office at 104-02 Rockaway Beach Boulevard or by calling (718) 474-1641. Remember the old adage that you have to be in it to win it.

We will be entertained again this year – also by popular demand by Tom Touhey from T Tunes. Tom’s selection of musical renditions will have everyone taping their feet and singing along. Tom has just the right combination of traditional music, golden oldies, line dances, country western and rock music. As I have noted before Tom believes that the purpose of music is to understand and preserve the art form while relating to audiences. I am really delighted that Tom Touhey will share his immense talents with us again this year. I hope that you will be able to join us on Friday, May 20 at 12 Noon at Russo’s on the Bay. Call 718-474-1641 for a reservation. I will look forward to seeing you.
