Yom Hashoah Services At Temple Beth-El
The Annual Yom Hashoah community-wide observance of the Holocaust will be held on Thursday, May 5 at 7 p.m. in Temple Beth-El’s Main Sanctuary on Beach 121 Street, at which time the entire community joins together for a vigil and prayer service involving all ages to remember the 6 million men, women and children who were killed in Europe during the Nazi atrocities, killing more than one third of the Jewish people.
Rabbi Blaine, Cantor Dennis Waldman, organist Stuart Rauch and Cantor Jeffrey Wolk will participate together with members of the congregation in the service. The guest speaker will be educator Gail Eisen and Betty Zapolsky will lead a tribute to the six million. The entire community is invited to attend and politicians and dignitaries will be present.
