Rockaway Museum Presents More FRHS Mystery Photos

The staff at the Rockaway Museum has been rooting through the material loaned by the grandson of long-time Far Rockaway High School Athletic Director Harry Luft. They are looking for some identification on the people in these photographs. Several people identified one of last week’s pictures as being from 1956, and The Wave will print the picture with names as soon as they are more complete. This picture is a 1947 shot of the school’s Alumni Association officers. We know the man in the middle, because he is Stanley Schwach, the father of Wave Managing Editor Howie Schwach. Who are the others? Perhaps you can tell us.The staff at the Rockaway Museum has been rooting through the material loaned by the grandson of long-time Far Rockaway High School Athletic Director Harry Luft.
