One of the brand new Arverne By the Sea homes was used Monday to film scenes for “The Night Listener” a film starring Robin Williams, Toni Collette, Sandra Oh and Rory Culkin.

“The location people needed new construction in the New York City area that didn’t look like anything in the New York area,” said Les Lerner of the Beechwood Organization, one of the ABTS developers. The scenes shot at 73-15 Lighthouse Drive are set in North Carolina and required a “beach-y” ambiance, he said.

Funnyman Williams was not on set, but Collette, who was not available for interviews, saw the ABTS homes inside and out. No word on whether she’s interested in making a purchase, but the home that was used is already spoken for.
