The youth of the New York City Housing Authority made an enjoyable trip to St. Johns University to watch America’s first game, Lacrosse. The youth from three Rockaway NYCHA community centers along South Jamaica, Latimer, and Bland centers attended St. John’s first home game of the year.

It was a great opportunity to watch some of the top lacrosse collegians in the country.

After the game (The Hoyas defeated the Red Storm 16-6), Georgetown’s Head Coach David Urich took time out to speak to the NYCHA Coaches and some of the players.

The most important question from Coach to the kids was, “How are your grades”? All of the NYCHA coaches have told all of our participants that with good academics and moral standings, they can attend universities like St. John’s and Georgetown.
