PS 114 Gets Flag Lessons From American Legion

Recorded in both audio / video DVD as well as enhanced color digital photography by Ron Gerson, Belle Harbor School Technology Instructor, the American Legion assembly detailed the history, and special care for, the United States Flag, as well as leading the children in thundering renditions of our Pledge of Allegiance and our national anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner.” Concluding remarks by Principal Brian R. O’Connell reminded all present how fortunate we are to live in “The land of the free...and...The home of the brave.” P.S. 114Q Assistant Principal Janet M. Donohue led the audience in saluting both Assemblywoman Pheffer and Councilman Addabbo for placing their non-stop emphasis in both State and City government on the greatest investments possible in life: Our children.
