Bake Sale For Tsunami Relief

A group of fifth grade girls, with the assistance of some of their younger siblings, held a bake sale at St. Francis de Sales’ small hall to benefit tsunami victims over two weekends. They raised nearly $500 in proceeds, all of which went to the Bush-Clinton Fund for tsunami relief. It should be noted that this was not part of a school project or any other adult-organized effort. These kids decided, on their own, to take action and make a difference. Participants are pictured as follows: From left to right: Nicole Mastrangelo, Grace Maxfield, Maya Gitter-Fox, Patti O’Rourke and sister Bridget, Leanna Tamburello and brother TJ.
