Pheffer Urges Residents To File For NYPD Test

Assemblywoman Audrey I. Pheffer has announced that she has been contacted by the New York City Police Department, which is continuing to recruit the most qualified men and women to join the ranks of the “greatest” Police Department in the world.

Filing for the upcoming Police examination began on February 2 and will conclude on April 22, 2005.

Candidates for the exam will have the opportunity to choose from one of the following test dates in 2005. Friday, June 17; Saturday, June 18; Thursday, June 23; and Sunday, June 26.

The NYCPD’s City Resident Recruitment and Retention Unit will provide free tutorial sessions to all candidates throughout the five boroughs. These tutorial sessions are aimed at enhancing the candidate’s test-taking skills. For further information regarding this exam, candidates can call 212-RECRUIT, or visit their website at www.nyc. gov/nypd. Candidates may also apply for the exam online at the same website.
